Creamy + Nutritious + Practical

There is nothing like fresh vegan nut mylk. It’s affordable, contains ZERO preservatives, and is super nutritious! This recipe has inspired me to make my own nut mylk on a weekly basis. It’s been equally adventurous and empowering to explore plant-based vegan food choices; this recipe is a prime example. I hope you enjoy this simple and nutritious recipe as much as I do! Let’s get started!

Creamy + Nutritious + Practical

3 SIMPLE INGREDIENTS

Makes: 1 quart

What You’ll Need…

  • 1/2 Cup of Your Choice Nut(s) or seeds: I chose to use Brazilian nuts and hemp seeds.

  • 4 Cups of Fresh Drinking Water.

  • 1 Cheese cloth.

  • 2 probiotic capsules (optional).

  • agave nectar or your choice sweetener (optional - if you want sweet mylk)

What To Do…

  • Soak 1/2 cup of nuts / seeds overnight.

  • Add soaked nuts, 4 cups of fresh drinking water (and optional probiotic) to your blender.

  • Blend until completely smooth. This should take less than 45 seconds.

  • Strain the blended mix into a large bowl using the cheese cloth.

  • Once strained, pour fresh nut mylk in a large mason jar for storage.

Notes…

  • Soaking your nuts, seeds, and grains helps to maximize digestion and nutrient absorption.

  • If you’d like a creamier mylk, increase the amount of nuts, from 3/4 - 1 full cup of nuts.

  • I like to add a capsule or two of probiotics to my mylk to help aid in digestion and nutrient absorption.

  • Store in fridge.

  • It can last up to 5-7 days ( do a smell check once you’re close to the end).

  • If it starts to separate, shake before use.
